About
Welcome to the 4N6 Science Detective Club! Before beginning your forensic science training, this orientation program will introduce you to how our training works and how to get the most out of your investigations. 4N6 Science Detective Club programs are designed by professional forensic scientists to give young learners hands-on experience with real scientific thinking. Each course you take may explore a different area of forensic science, but all programs follow the same investigation approach: observe carefully, think critically, and learn by doing. All new detectives should complete this orientation before starting their first program. Parents and guardians are encouraged to review this module alongside their student to understand how activities, materials, and trainings are organized. In this orientation, you will learn how the programs are structured, how to use your investigation materials, and what to expect as you progress through each training. You’ll also learn how scientists approach challenges, why mistakes are part of discovery, and how to work safely and confidently during activities. You only need to complete this orientation once, and you can take any 4N6 Science Detective Club program in any order after finishing it. When you’re ready, your detective training begins.
